Pronto habrá un remake the este pedacito de la historia de terror. ¿Todavía no lo has leído? Ya tienes otro motivo más para leerlo: ¿No sabes que el libro es siempre mejor que la película? ¿Cómo vas a poder decidir si eso es cierto si todavía no has leído el libro?

6. Nineteen Minutes – Jodi Picoult

Algunas veces todos necesitamos llorar un poco, ser agitado por una película, una canción o un libro. Esta es la novela de Jodi Picoult, hecha para hacerte pensar y a lo mejor, solo a lo mejor, hacerte llorar un poquito. Esta novela tiene ya 10 años, pero tiroteos escolares, por desgracia, es un problema que sigue afectando a Estados Unidos.

This event brings together more than 500,000 people, a MUST ATTEND event in Europe.

Resurrection Fest is another music festival. It happens in Vivero a Spanish fisherman town that triplicates its population during 3 days. Como siempre, las fotografías de David Collier son extremadamente vivas y parecen instantáneas que capturan el momento sin pensar demasiado en el resultado. Esta serie es súper veraniega, muestra un ambiente alegre y fue tomada en película de 35 mm y en Polaroid; además, también hay algunas fotos digitales.

«Con el verano más caluroso registrado, con temperaturas constantemente por encima de los 35 grados, nuestro elenco, que vive demasiado lejos de cualquier océano o playa, decide hacer su propia fiesta en la piscina en el patio trasero. Todo empieza con Georgia y Bella pasando el rato en casa y deciden llamar a Chayde para ver si quiere quedar en la tienda del barrio, comprar algunos snacks y bebidas y luego ir al patio para disfrutar un poco del verano. Deciden inflar la pequeña piscina para refrescarse y, por supuesto, muy al estilo australiano, también divertirse con la manguera del jardín. Para mí, muestra un verano australiano por excelencia y, como puedes ver, nuestras chicas se lo pasan muy bien.»

La música pesada, los coros tipo “gang vocals” y la marihuana probablemente sean el pan de cada día de estos cinco locos de Barcelona. Llevan tocando desde 2010, girando por todo el país, tirando escenarios abajo y partiendo cuellos. Si te va Hatebreed, Madball o Brujeria… líate un porro y ¡a disfrutar!

Son jóvenes, tienen talento y se están haciendo bastante populares en YouTube. Crisix - Barcelona (Metal/Thrash)

Formados en una ciudad mediana, Igualada, son una de las bandas más internacionales de la lista. Cansados de girar por la Península Ibérica, apuntan a Sudamérica, donde tienen una base de seguidores muy apasionada. Incluso se inventaron un concepto mixto entre fútbol y baile pogo.
¡Estos grandes cabrones del metal están dispuestos a conquistar el mundo! Nada los va a parar.

Dawn of the Maya - Pamplona (Metal/Hardcore)

Los mayas intentaron predecir el fin del mundo… pero lo que no predijeron fue esta formación “all star” de Pamplona. Batería genial y una mezcla de voces que te revientan la garganta con estribillos melódicos dan como resultado un puñado de temas que no te quieres perder.
Tienen nuevo álbum, llamado “Colossal”.

Hyde abbey - Barcelona (Deathcore)

Nacidos en la California europea, “El Maresme”, todavía no entendemos qué los llevó al lado más oscuro de la música. Tienen talento, pasión y saben sacar un breakdown como Dios manda. Su mentalidad es muy abierta y son una banda que se curra las giras a lo bestia. ¡Pulgar arriba!

Thirteen Bled Promises - Madrid (Deathcore)

Imagina que un día la humanidad necesita abrir las puertas del infierno y colaborar con el diablo para luchar contra una invasión alienígena. Suena divertido, ¿verdad? Pues esa es la historia detrás de su último álbum, “The Black Legend”. Esta banda de deathcore tan loca de Madrid está dispuesta a ser abducida para dar el primer concierto en directo de la historia dentro de un OVNI.

Hamlet es una de esas bandas que llevan ahí desde finales de los 80, pero que se han ido reinventando para estar al día con los nuevos fans del metal. Con varios discos publicados, ya son una leyenda de la escena metal española y casi todos sus conciertos se agotan. ¡Tenemos la suerte de tenerlos dentro de la familia American Socks 😍!

The Fashion Week was happening in Berlin and we couldn't miss BRIGHT TRADESHOW where the coolest brands gather to show their upcoming releases. The Accessories alley had it's personal oasis with tropical vibe: American Socks!

While doing some B2B business we got dancy with the rest of exhibitors with one of the most known Spanish music anthems: "La Macarena". Rad times.

TALES FROM THE CRYPT

Hanging out with the dead while listening to a Misfits album (The ones featuring Glen Danzing... Of course!) is what we did with Enzo Iriarte.

Facing the sea and guarded by strict vigilantes lays the scariest cemetery you've ever been: Barcelona Montjuïc Graveyard.

After sunset the departed come back to life, but just before things got messy we had enough time to meet Harley Quinn (Steffie Hache) and some Skull guys (Juan García & Sergi Sánchez).

The undead came after us as we disturbed their rest and had to leave, but we'll be back to satisfy our interest in graveyards.
